For College Hockey News, Bernie Corbett, the longtime voice of BU Hockey, penned a tribute to his friend Travis Roy with whom he shared an off-ice passion:
The Travis I got to know personally was an insightful observer of the game he loved…Once I found out we shared a musical passion for Pearl Jam, that opened up another topic for discussion. I will never forget catching a Pearl Jam Boston Garden show with him in 2006. Sadly, we won’t have the opportunity for an encore hoping to hear “Crown of Thorns.”

Looking back

There is simply no way to overstate the impact it’s had on my career, and on my life. It controlled me, it almost broke me for good. And there were times when I thought I might never be able to tell a story like this. But I’m here, and I am.
