Terriers drop consolation game, 4-2

 

For first time this season, the #5 Terriers lost two consecutive games—and both came in the 70th Beanpot Tournament. Boston College took a 2-0 lead in the first period and while BU would pull even in the third period, the Eagles broke the tie and added an empty-netter for a 4-2 win. For BC, the win ended an eight-game winless streak (0-6-2).

BU got goals from freshman Ryan Greene in the first period and from senior Jay O’Brien in the third period. BC’s game-winner, just half a minute after O’Brien’s tally, was scored by Andre Gasseau.
