Gameday - Stuck in the middle with Lowell

For the third season in a row, UMass-Lowell will be the Terriers' opponent for the Friday game between the Beanpot rounds. BU is looking for its first winning streak of 3 games tonight at Tsongas Arena, as well as a win in the season series. The Terriers won the first game against the Riverhawks, 5-4 in dramatic overtime fashion with a Colby Cohen game-winning goal, but dropped the second match of the home-and-home by a score of 3-2. The Terriers and the 18th-ranked Riverhawks, picked 1st and 2nd in the preseason coaches poll, have instead been struggling all season to stay in home ice contention. Kieran Millan will once again get the start for the Terriers fresh off of his co-defensive player of the week honors. If the Terriers won tonight, they would catch fifth-place UML in points (albeit with an extra league game played) and reach .500 on the season overall.
