Whitney joins US Olympic Team


Former BU blueliner Ryan Whitney, now skating for Anaheim, was added to the U.S Olympic team roster as an injury replacement. A former Penguins first round draft choice, Whitney represented Team USA in the 2002 and 2003 World Junior Championships.

Former Terrier goalie Jason Tapp would understand the sentiment. After concluding a long minor-league career in a variety of leagues, Tapper is staying in the game as a volunteer goalie coach for Union College.
