#7 Terriers close out the
semester just as they did last season, against the Maine Black Bears. Fifty-two
weeks ago, BU traveled to Orono and came away with a 5-1 win, scoring four
third-period goals including two from
Sahir Gill and Alexx Privitera’s first collegiate tally. The next three
meetings all went the Black Bears’ way—two at Agganis Arena and the Hockey East
semifinal.
The Black Bears have
struggled this season and have just two wins. Their offense is led by the
always dangerous Joey Diamond and freshman Devin Shore. Maine has used three
goalies this season.
Captain Wade Megan, who played
his 100th consecutive game in Thursday’s 3-2 win against New
Hampshire, is BU’s top goal-scorer with nine. Cason Hohmann, BU’s leading point
scorer with 16, is fourth in the nation in plus-minus with +15
Freshman Sean Maguire is
expected to start in goal and Ryan Ruikka should be back in the blueline
rotation. No expected changes to the forward lines.
Tonight’s game is an 8
p.m. start and will air nationally on CBS Sports Network.

►Along with its #7 ranking
in the USCHO poll, BU is now #4 in the Pairwise
Rankings . The KRACH
rankings have BU in third place with its strength of schedule being a key
factor. Notice in the right- hand column (SOS) that BU’s schedule is ranked at
401.8. Next best, but far behind are BC’s 270.6 and New Hampshire’s 213.8.
Women's Team
Riding a four-game winning streak, #7 Terriers are in Minnesota for a pair of games with Minnesota-Duluth. This is the first-ever meeting between BU and the WCHA club. Marie-Philip Poulin (26) and Isabel Menard (21) lead BU in scoring.
