Beanpot Game Day: Terriers vs. Huskies-UPDATED

BU faces off with Northeastern in the opening game of the 2013 Beanpot Tournament at TD Garden. The Terriers will look to avenge last month’s disappointing 6-5 loss to the Huskies. Puck drop is 5:00 p.m. with the game airing on NESN.

The Boston Hockey Blog reports that BU will tweak its top two lines, moving junior Matt Nieto to the first line with Cason Hohmann and Sahir Gill, while captain Wade Megan will skate with Danny O’Regan and Evan Rodrigues.

Women’s Team
#3/4 Terriers ran their unbeaten streak to 14 games and their winning streak to seven by doubling up Northeastern, 4-2, Saturday at Walter Brown Arena. Louise Warren’s 10th of the season in the game’s first minute got BU off to a fast start. BU extended the lead to 4-1 on Sarah Lefort’s 15th of the season and goals by Kayla Tutino and Jenelle Kohanchuk, before NU added a second goal.

Warren’s goal gave BU six 10-goal scorers for the first time in program history.
