Looking back
Colin Wilson assisted on two goals in Nashville’s 4-2 win against
Detroit, his second consecutive multi-point game. He leads the Predators in
scoring with a 5-9-line. SB Nation offers a
profile for the former BU All-American who was Nashville’s first round
draft choice in 2008.
Eric Gryba recorded his first NHL point, an assist, in
Ottawa’s 3-1 win over the Islanders, who received a 23-save effort from Rick
DiPietro. Gryba also blocked five shots, earning second-star honors.
Grant Rollheiser came off the Wichita Thunder bench to stop
27 of 28 shots to lead a 5-1
win over the Allen Americans in CHL action. Rollheiser had begun the season
with the ECHL Utah Grizzlies before moving on briefly to the Idaho Steelheads.

Women’s program
#3 Terriers routed New Hampshire, 6-0, behind a pair of
Jennelle Kohanchuk goals and Kerrin Sperry’s 22-save effort, and now have won a
program-record 13 straight Hockey East games.
Senior Kohanchuk’s 14th
goal in the first period was followed by senior Isabel Menard’s 13th
and freshman Rebecca Russo’s first in the middle stanza. Kohanchuk’s, Dakota
Woodworth and Shannon added third-period goals. Co-captain Marie-Philip Poulin
assisted on three BU goals.
