Terriers outworked by Minutemen, fall 5-1

BU’s up and down second semester took a turn in the wrong direction Friday night as the Terriers were dominated by UMass, 5-1 in Amherst. A week after taking three of four points from Providence, BU was heavily outworked by the Minutemen, especially in the second period when the Terriers managed just one shot on goal. Senior center Ben Rosen, whose goal tied up last Saturday’s game against the Friars, scored a shorthanded goal late in the third period to avert a shutout.
