Episode 6 of Inside BU Hockey features Bernie Corbett’s interview with Head Coach David
Quinn, freshman defenseman Brien Diffley (photo) and former Terrier Jacques Joubert.
Diffley, whose puck-moving skills made him a hot commodity in last winter’s
recruiting wars and an ISL All-Star at Buckingham, Browne and Nichols, had a
three-point weekend including his first collegiate goal in the UConn game.
Joubert
(photo) captained BU’s 1995 national championship team and contributed a team-best 29
goals (tied with Mike Grier). The South Bend, Ind., native finished his
three-year BU career (after transferring from Princeton) with 131 points and
was inducted into the BU
Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010.
Joubert discusses some of the 16 BU-Maine match-ups during his Terrier career including the ’95 title game (video). BU will commemorate the 20th anniversary of that championship during the February home series vs. Notre Dame.
