BU will seek to gain important Hockey East
points after taking just one in last weekend’s series with BC.
Maine is led by senior Will Merchant and junior Blaine Byron, each with 13 points, while junior defenseman Dan Renouf has 12. Junior Matt Morris and freshman Rob McGovern have split the net-minding duties. In the Black Bears' last outing, they tied top-ranked Quinnipiac, 3-3.
Last season, BU swept the league series, winning in Orono, 3-1, and then at Agganis, 3-2 on Jack Eichel's overtime goal.
Sophomore wing Nikolas Olsson remains out of
the line-up due to an upper body injury.

recruit Clayton Keller scored his 24th goal of the season on a power play, but
the NTDP U18s fell to Michigan at Yost Arena, 5-2. Fellow recruit Jake
Oettinger had a strong performance in goal against the high-powered Wolverine
offense, stopping 32 shots overall and holding Michigan to one goal in the
first two periods. But the hosts struck for four scores in the third period to
put the game out of reach.

made a game of it and, at 13:59, Brad Cooke beat the Terriers’ Dan Brady (photo) to
even the score at 1-all. BU retook the lead for good when Bob Gryp scored 81
seconds later and then Anderson scored on the powerplay 1:28 after that to
increase the lead to 3-1.
Vermont
drew to within one goal when Willie MacKinnon scored at 4:57 of the second
