Our BU-BC preview was posted yesterday prior to the postponement of Friday’s game.
Tonight’s BU-BC game at Agganis Arena begins at 6:30 p.m. with Senior Night activities preceding the game. NESN will air the contest with a live stream for those outside New England. Friday’s postponed game will be played Sunday at 4 p.m. at Conte Forum.
What has changed is the Hockey East standings with NU defeating UConn and Providence defeating Maine. BU is now in seventh place, one point behind Providence with a game in hand. Also three points behind UConn, NU and Merrimack. BU has a game in hand against Merrimack and UConn. In short, the pressure is on BU to win and keep pace in the race for a first-round bye in the playoffs.

This Date in BU Hockey: Feb. 26
1972: Behind three goals from Ron Anderson, BU rode a four-goal third period to a 6-4 win against Providence. Terriers, playing without injured captain and leading scorer Jake Danby, also got goals from Paul Giandomenico, Guy Burrowes and Billy Flynn. The victory brought BU's record to 21-3-1 with one regular-season game remaining.
Looking ahead
2022 recruits Lane Hutson and Devin Kaplan each scored a goal and assisted on each other’s tally in the NTDP U18s’ 11-3 drubbing of Green Bay. 2022 recruit Ryan Greene scored his 15th goal for the Gamblers.
2022 recruit Jeremy Wilmer scored his 17th goal—a power play tally—and assisted on two others in first-place Tri-City’s 7-1 win against Sioux Falls, extending his points streak to 10 games. His 39 assists are second best in the league.
2022 recruit Quinn Hutson scored his 25th goal—second best in the USHL—in Muskegon’s 3-2 loss to Chicago.
Q.Hutson and Wilmer each lead their teams with 56 points
2022 recruit Jack Gorton picked up his 15th assist as Victoria doubled up Cowichan Valley, 6-3, in BCHL action. The 6-3 right-shot forward has five points (2G,3A) in his last three games and 22 points for the season.
Women’s Team
Terriers travel to Connecticut
to for a quarter-final playoff round game. The single elimination contest at
Freitas Ice Forum in Storrs begins at 3 p.m. and will be live-streamed.
During the regular season, BU lost a pair of one-goal games to the Huskies in November and the teams played to a 1-1 tie on Feb. 4
