Last month's Hockey East Defender of the Month is this week's Rookie of the Week. Defenseman Lane Hutson garnered top rookie honors after his overtime game-winner against Northeastern Saturday. It was the second rookie honor for the Montreal draft pick (2nd round, 2022) who is tied for the team lead in assists with eight and tied for second in points with 12. He earned ROW in late October when he scored the tying and overtime game-winner against UMass Lowell.
Ryan Greene was the first Terrier to earn top rookie honors following his two-goal, one-assist effort in the first week of the season. Greene was conference Player of the Week a week ago after a six-point (3G,3A) performance in the sweep of UMass.

The only thing smoother than Late Hutson with the puck on a rush is if it is in 4k slow motion. https://t.co/BFtmTHsZeb
The ESPN+ live stream featured the Northeastern broadcasters. Here's how Bernie Corbett and Mark Linehan called the game-winner on BU All-Access.
SNL (Saturday Night Leftovers)
Let's start with Defkit's Terrier Takeaway
- One area that seemed worse was face-offs. They were beat handily (41-20), which contributed to going 0-5 on the Power Play.
- Fensore had a very strong game. He is showing more of a "take-over the game" mentality. With his skating ability, he is the guy to do so.
- Getting four goals past Levi is something not many teams will be able to say they accomplished. To battle back from a couple deficits against him is a very positive sign.
- Not to be lost in the excitement of the goals was Commesso's great game, including two big saves in OT. He robbed Struble who was in all alone and then made a great stop on a cross-crease pass moments later.

● BU has yet to lose two games in a row this season
● The Terriers and the Huskies have needed overtime on seven different occasions since the start of the 2018-19 season.
►Some great alternate views of BU’s goals in the overtime win—some from ice level—and more have been prepared by videographer Bernie Perisie, who is in the Agganis Arena marketing department.

►BU, which had begun the weekend at #1 in Pairwise, then dropped to #10 after Friday's loss and Michigan being swept by Minnesota. BU remained at #10 after its overtime win.
How important is Pairwise early in the season? This chart from last season provides an answer. Last season’s slow start put the Terriers in a hole that even the 14-1-1 run couldn’t overcome.

►Terriers fell to #7 in the KRACH rankings, which show they are #1 in strength of schedule. Wednesday night’s opponent, Notre Dame, is #2.
After averaging 4 goals a game prior to the NU series, scoring four in the two games dropped BU from fourth on the Division 1 scoring chart to 10th with a 3.64 gpg avg.
Prior to the Northeastern series Radio-Canada offered this piece on Hutson, a second-round draft pick of the Canadians. Note: You may have to click a button to translate this report from the original French. If some things sound a bit odd, that's how Google translations work.

Joel Farabee's unassisted goal was his fourth of the season, but the Flyers lost to Calgary, 5-2.
Women's Team
BU's sweep of #13 Connecticut led to Hockey East weekly honors for a pair of Terriers. Brooke Disher earned Rookie of the Week after scoring the game-winner in Friday's 2-1 win and an assist in Saturday's 5-3 victory. Senior Captain Nadia Mattivi assisted on Disher's tally and then scored on a power play Saturday.
