Follow their regulation and overtime losses to Merrimack, the Terriers fell from #5 to #9 in the USCHO Weekly Poll and from #5 to #8 in USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll. Everything College Hockey also pegs BU at #8.
In the PairWise rankings, BU now is tied with Ohio State at #8, and in the KRACH-based College Hockey News Power Ratings, the Terriers have slipped to #11.

With two weeks left in the regular season, senior Matt Brown leads Hockey East in overall scoring with 40 points, followed by Lane Hutson with 38. Brown's unassisted goal on Saturday gave him a team-high 14, while Hutson's tenth goal, also on Saturday, set a new program record for goals by a freshman defenseman. The previous mark of nine was held by Alex Legault and Tom O'Regan.
Looking ahead
2023 recruit Jack Harvey scored his 27th goal for Chicago but the NTDP U17s flipped the script with an 8-5 win--same as the Steel won by the previous night. Macklin Celebrini had an assist for Chicago, upping his league-leading point total to 62. Harvey, with 51, is third in the scoring race. 2024 recruit Kamil Bednarik had an assist for the U17s.

2023 recruit Doug Grimes assisted on a pair of goals for Lincoln, but the Stars dropped a 7-5 decision to Sioux City. The Brookline, Mass., native has 29 points in 31 games.
Looking back
Charlie McAvoy assisted on all three Bruins goals in a 3-1 win against Ottawa. The former BU All-American has a 4-35-39 line in 43 games.
Brady Tkachuk scored his 24th goal and added an assist at Ottawa routed St. Louis, 7-2. He has a four-game goal-scoring streak.
Women’s Team
After dropping its final two regular-season games to Northeastern, BU finished seventh in the Hockey East standings. Retiring head coach Brian Durocher’s squad will host #10 Merrimack in the single-game elimination opening round of the conference tournament. That game, at Walter Brown Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 22, begins at 7 p.m. Under Durocher, BU has won the Hockey East title a record five times.
