For first time this season,
the #5 Terriers lost two consecutive games—and both came in the 70th
Beanpot Tournament. Boston College took a 2-0 lead in the first period and
while BU would pull even in the third period, the Eagles broke the tie and
added an empty-netter for a 4-2 win. For BC, the win ended an eight-game
winless streak (0-6-2).
BU got goals from freshman
Ryan Greene in the first period and from senior Jay O’Brien in the third
period. BC’s game-winner, just half a minute after O’Brien’s tally, was scored
by Andre Gasseau.
