BU has added its second player through the transfer portal and again it’s a goalie. UMass junior Henry Graham tweeted his commitment to BU today. He’ll presumably fill the #3 goalie slot. On April 15, Brown sophomore Matthieu Caron committed to BU from the portal. NTDP goalie Michael Chambre also is a BU commit.
Graham, a 6’0”, 181 lb., native of Manhattan, saw no game action in his first seasons in Amherst, but appeared in eight games last season producing a 2.34 GAA, a .921 save percentage and a 1-2-1 record. His win came against Lake Superior, a 31-save effort in a 4-1 decision. Graham, 22, faced BU in a relief effort in the Terriers’ 6-2 win on Jan. 11. Graham entered the game midway through the second period and stopped 20 of 21 shots the rest of the way.
Prior to joining the Minutemen, Graham put up strong numbers (2,85/.924for the P.A.L Junior Islanders in the NCDC. He also played two seasons with the Honey Baked 18Us in Detroit.

►Our friend BurntBoats has posted an updated Roster Projection Chart for the next few season with Graham added to the goalies section. Based on current information the chart shows 15 forwards, nine defensemen and three goalies projected for 2023-24. And it includes three sets of brothers: Quinn Hutson and Lane Hutson; Case McCarthy and incoming freshman Gavin McCarthy; and incoming freshman brothers Macklin Celebrini and Aiden Celebrini.
►Mark Divver reports that Ethan Phillips, who had entered the transfer portal, will play for Western Michigan next season. The Broncos were BU's opponents in the Manchester Regional tournament and Phillips produced a three-point effort (G,2A) in the Terriers' 5-1 win.
Looking Ahead
All three future Terriers rostered for the World U18 Championship were on the scoresheets during the final preliminary round games on Monday.
-2023 recruit Tom Willander, a right-shot defenseman,
tallied a goal and an assist in Sweden's 3-0 win against Germany. With a 2-2-4
linr, he's fifth in scoring among D-men. Willander was recently ranked #16
among international skaters by NHL Central Scouting. He’s been the subject of several strong draft
profile reports including this one from The Hockey Writers.
-2024 recruit Cole Hutson, a left-shot blueliner, had two assists in Team USA’s
10-0 win against Switzerland. His seven assists are tied for the tournament
lead among D-men. With two assists he has 63 points, tying him with brother Lane for the second
most most points in a single season
by an NTDP defenseman.
-2023 recruit Macklin Celebrini, a left-shot center, had two assists in
Canada's 8-3 win against Czechia. His seven points (1-6-7) are tied for the
Team Canada scoring lead. Following Canada's prior win, 4-3 over Slovakia, Puck Preps awarded him the game's first star and tweeted:
"His powerplay goal was a work of art, both the play to extend possession beforehand where he beats a defender while tipped off-balance in order to reset the puck to the point & the actual play for the goal itself where he walks in off the blue line & roofs it."
All three will play in Thursday's quarterfinals.
Looking back
Jake Oettinger stopped all 27 Minnesota shots as Dallas blanked the Wild, 4-0, to take a 3-2 series leads. The shutout was the first in this year’s playoffs and the second post-season shutout of Oettinger’s NHL career.
