Looking ahead

2024 recruit Jack Pridham has returned to St. Andrews College for a second season. The 6'2" right wing,  who put up a 16-16-32 line in 43 games, had been drafted #26 overall in the USHL entry draft by Tri-City.

Looking back

The September issue of USA Hockey Magazine has a distinctly Terrier flavor. Blog contributor Neal Boudette authored "BU in his Blood," (pg. 39) about new San Jose GM Mike Grier, who "has never forgotten his Beantown roots."  New Sharks Coach David Quinn addresses "the biggest difference between coaching college and the NHL." (pg. 19). And an unnamed Terrier is featured on the magazine cover, illustrating a story about the transfer portal.

Women's Team

Team Canada won its third consecutive IIHF World Championship, defeating Team USA, 2-1, in the gold-medal game in Denmark. Long-time captain Marie-Philip Poulin had 10 points (5G,5A) and Victoria Bach had six (1G,5A) for Canada. Jesse Compher had a goal and an assist for the U.S.

Poulin, who has won three Olympic gold medals and plays professionally in the PWHPA, was named a development consultant by the Montreal Canadiens in June and worked with Canadian draft picks Luke Tuch and Lane Hutson during the team’s development camp in July.

Coach Brian Durocher received a commitment for 2024 from Ottawa Lady Senators defenseman Avery Supryka following her performance in the recent Beantown Classic.
