For its much-anticipated New Year’s Eve clash with Canada, Team USA climbed aboard the “Cole Train,” as Mark Linehan would say, to claim a 4-1 win, clinching the top spot in the A Division at the World Junior Championships in Ottawa. Cole Eiserman and Cole Hutson each tallied a power-play goal and an assist to pace the offense.
Moments after he rang a shot off the post, Hutson’s power-play goal, assisted by Eiserman, gave the U.S. a lead early in the first period--and offered an "I can't hear you" celly to the Ottawa crowd.

Late in the period, Eiserman connected for a third U.S. man-advantage tally. After Eiserman’s first attempt was blocked, Hutson retrieved the puck and sent it to the Newburyport, Mass., native for a rocket past Carter George.
