Game Day: Terriers host the Eagles.

It’s here. The day that Terriers fans mark on the calendar as soon as the schedule comes out. BU vs. BC. In the first of a home and home series, the #8 Eagles come down the Green Line to Agganis Arena to take on the #5 Terriers. Game time tonight is 7:30 p.m. and it will be live-stream on Terrier TV via Campus Insider. The teams will play again on Monday night at Conte Forum.

Tonight’s game will be the 271st in a series that began in 1918 with BU holding a 130-122-18 (.515) edge. While the Terriers have a gaudy 22-3-3 mark in their last 28 starts at home, their record at Agganis against BC is only 3-11-2 (.250).

The contest will feature 13 players who played in the recently concluded World Juniors, nine of whom were teammates on gold-medal winning Team USA.  A pre-game video feature will honor those players.

The BC contingent from the WJCs included goalie Joe Woll who brings a 2.43 GAA and .920 save percentage into the game, their top defenseman, Casey Fitzgerald and center Colin White who leads the Eagles with 10 goals. Matt Gaudreau has a team-best 22 points, while Chris Brown has 18.

Four of BU’s top five scorers played in the WJCs: Patrick Harper (22 points), Jordan Greenway (17), Clayton Keller (16) and Charlie McAvoy (14). The fifth, Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson (20), scored five times in the past two games and leads the Terriers with eight goals. Goalie Jake Oettinger’s GAA is 1.94 and his save percentage is .930.
