The introduction of the 13 newcomers to the 2023-24 Terriers continued with the fourth transfer, junior forward Jack Hughes. A second-round draft pick by Los Angeles, the 6'0" center spent the past two season with cross-town rival Northeastern with a combined 32 points. He earned Hockey East All-Rookie honors as a freshman.

Introductions of nine freshmen will begin next week.

BU Hockey Stats reports in a tweet that the University of Michigan will head to Agganis Arena for a pair of games in the 2024-25 season on Oct. 25 & 26. It'll be the Wolverine's first visit since 2015. Last season, BU split a pair of games with UM at Yost Arena.

To the surprise of no one, BU Men's Hockey took the #1 spot in the Terrier Twelve for the 2022-23 season.

World Junior Summer Showcase

On the final day of the WJSS, Lane Hutson scored his second goal in USA White's come-from-behind 5-4 win against Sweden.

FloHockey.tv's Chris Peters assessed the top U.S. performers in the tournament.

Lane Hutson, D (Montreal Canadiens): He might have been the best player on the ice in most of the games he played. His skill, touch on the puck, decision making and elusiveness allow him to dominate in this age group. He finished the event with five points including a pair of goals, one of which was absolutely spectacular as he exploited the inability for defenders to decide how to play him. Hutson's ability to move pucks up ice and be a weapon in transition will make him one of USA’s most critical players at any position at this year’s World Junior Championship.

Looking ahead

Maple Grove's Will Zellers hoping to make the most of Hlinka Gretzky Cup roster spot - The Rink Live | Comprehensive coverage of youth, junior, high school and college hockey

2024 or 2025 recruit Will Zellers assisted on a pair of goals as Team USA defeated Finland 5-2 to claim the bronze medal at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup tournament. The left wing from Maple Grove, Minn., was the second leading US scorer in the tournament with a 5-2-7 scoring line.  His five goals--he scored in each of the four previous games and in the pre-tourney exhibition--was one shy of Brock Boesser's record for the HGC.

Also earning bronze medals were 2024 defenseman Owen Keefe, 2024 or 2025 forward Callum Hughes and 2025 forward John McNelis.
