In his weekly media call, Head Coach Jay Pandolfo confirmed that sophomore Cole Eiserman will return to the lineup this Saturday, as will classmate Nick Roukounakis. Eiserman has been out since October 25 with a leg injury, while Roukounakis has been sidelined since preseason, reportedly with a broken hand.
Pandolfo indicated he would pair Eiserman with center Brandon Svoboda, "who has been very good in the middle of the ice" and on draws. The Sacha Boisvert-Ryder Ritchie-Owen McLaughlin line--four goals last Saturday--will remain intact.
He added "I really liked the Bednarik-Murtagh-Harvey line Saturday night until Murtagh got kicked out of the game. They had quite a few scoring chances."
Asked if he'd seen improvements in puck management and breakouts, he said "I thought last weekend overall it was definitely better. Certainly it wasn't perfect. I do think we were in better spots, supporting each other."
Regarding the power play which has connected only twice in the last 11 chances, he noted that, while Eiserman has been missed, there also has been a lack of execution. Unlike the penalty kill, Pandolfo says the power play has yet to find its identity.
►Terrier captain Gavin McCarthy has been named to the US Collegiate Selects squad that will compete in the Spengler Cup in Davos Switzerland, beginning on December 26. First up for Team USA in the six-team event is Team Canada.

McCarthy, a Buffalo Sabres draft pick, has a 2-2-4 line in 11 games with 13 blocks and is +8, second best in Hockey East just behind Cole Hutson (+9).
"There's not a lot of guys on our team on that side of [plus/minus] right now," Pandolfo noted. "For him to be +8 says a little bit about his play."
This is the first year that active collegians have represented the U.S. in the Spengler Cup. In prior years, Americans playing in Europe, including both David Silk and Tom O'Regan in 1988, made up most of the roster. Brandon Hickey represented Canada in the 2017 tournament.

Looking ahead
►Today is signing day at the NTDP and 2026 recruit Luke Schairer and 2027 recruits Brady Knowling and Jamie Glance inked their National Letters of Intent.
While there is no Terrier hockey on Friday this week, you can watch these three as the U18s take on 5-⭐️ 2027 recruit James Scantlebury and the Chicago Steel in a 7:00 pm ET start. Watch for free on USA Hockey TV.
►Following last week’s World U17 Challenge,The Athletic's Cory Pronman ranked Carter Meyer at #6 for the 2027 draft:
Meyer is the top U.S. player in his 2009 age group. He’s a well-rounded center, with the aesthetic skill and speed you want in a top prospect, while also being a smart and hardworking two-way player with decent size.
►2026 recruit Braidy Wassilyn, who has wielded a hot stick since being acquired by OHL London, is moving up in several 2026 draft rankings, including Dobber Prospects.
Wassilyn is rated in the top 35 prospects in multiple draft rankings at the onset of the 2025-26 season, and as it stands currently, is a firm bet to become a first-round selection in next Summer’s NHL entry draft. He currently weighs in at 5-11 and 194 pounds. He is known for creativity, excellent passing and playmaking and a quick release, despite being an unselfish player who is just as happy teeing up his teammates as he is putting a puck in the net himself.
►We have some additional information on the Terrier's most recent recruit, NJ Titans goalie Andrei Nikolayev (2027 or 2028). He received a 4-⭐️rating from NeutralZone, which is notably stingier with its stars than is PuckPreps.
