Following the weekend sweep at Maine, Terriers fell to #12 in the USCHO Division 1 Poll. Michigan State remains in the top spot followed by Michigan, Penn State, Western Michigan and BU’s opponent in two weeks, Quinnipiac. Maine at #6 is the top-ranked Hockey East team, with #11 Connecticut just ahead of BU.

USA Hockey’s Division 1 Poll has the Terriers one slot lower at #13 and the same top six as USCHO. Connecticut is #10 while BU is bracketed by #12 UMass and previously unranked #14 Northeastern.

ESPN’s John Buccigross also has BU at #12 in his ranking.

SNL (Saturday Night Leftovers)

Brandon Svoboda was one of the bright spots in Saturday's loss. His two goals (a tip-in and a shorty) and two assists gave him a career best four-point game. Svoboda also finished +3, put seven shots on goal and won 15 of 25 draws.

Ben Merrill, who continues to stand out for his physical play and strong forechecking, scored his first two collegiate goals over the weekend. Saturday he had a goal and assist, was +3 with five shots on goal.  Merrill has five points in the last five games.

Cole Hutson has 13 points (3G,10A) and is tied for first in Hockey East overall scoring. He has points in seven of nine games.

Mikhail Yegorov has faced 30 or more shots in eight+  games. Max Lacroix who relieved Big Mike at 13:33 of the first period Saturday, faced 37 shots.

Hockey Hall of Fame

Jack Parker | Boston University

Jack Parker will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto on Monday, November 10. NHL Network will air the ceremony at 7:30 p.m. The 40-year Terrier head coach, who is being inducted as Builder, told NHL.com’s Tom Gulitti, "It's kind of a capstone," I've been inducted into a few halls of fame, and this is THE Hall of Fame, so it's really humbling, but also pretty cool."

Here are two articles posted on NHL.com from Gulitti and former Terrier and U.S. Olympic captain Mike Eruzione.

Coach Parker won't be the first Terrier to speak at a Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Two years ago, then 19 year old Max Lacroix spoke on behalf of his late grandfather, Pierre Lacroix, who had been general manager and president of the Colorado Avalanche and entered the Hall of Fame in the same Builder category as Parker.

Looking ahead

2026 recruit Caleb Malhotra scored a pair of power-play goals in Brantford's 5-2 win over Saginaw. The 6'2" center, who has an 8-14-22 scoring line and is +11 in 16 games, has become a key play-driver for the Bulldogs who own the OHL’s best record of 13-0-2-1.

2026  recruit Braidy Wassilynn scored his third goal—and first for London—on a power play as the Knights beat Kingston, 6-1. The 5'11 wing, who has nine points in nine games, was recently acquired in a trade with Niagara.

With a strong individual effort, 2027 recruit Carter Meyer scored Team USA's opening goal in a 4-3 win over Finland, decided by a shootout, at the World U17 Challenge in Truro, N.S. The 6'0" center from Winchester, Mass., also connected in the shootout.

UPDATE

On Tuesday, Meyer scored Team USA’s first two goals, assisted on two others, and then connected for a shootout goal in a 6-5 win over Canada Red. The former Rivers School standout, who was named #1 star for Tuesday games, has a 3-3-6 scoring line—plus two shootout goals— in two games. The U.S. squad will play in Friday’s semifinal.

At the Five Nations Tournament in Sweden, 2026 or 2027 recruit Jamie Glance got Team USA off to a fast start with his third goal in a 5-2 win against Switzerland. The U18s will face Finland on Friday with 2027 recruit Brady Knowling expected to be in goal.

Looking back

Clayton Keller’s fifth goal was the overtime winner as the Mammoth edged Buffalo, 2-1. He also assisted on Utah’s first goal and has 14 points.

Trevor Zegras assisted on a pair of goals and then scored the only shootout goal in the Flyers’ 5-4 win against Montreal. He earned the game’s first star. Lane Hutson had a pair of helpers for Montreal.
