All three
members of BU’s second line, junior Matt Nieto, sophomore Evan Rodrigues and
freshman Danny O’Regan, made Hockey East’s top performers list. The trio
combined for nine points in the 6-5 overtime loss to Northeastern. With a five-point weekend (3+2), Rodriguez (photo) has 15 points in Hockey East games, just one shy of doubling last year's production.
Junior
Garrett Noonan, hit with a DQ for spearing Lowell’s goalie, had a second
game added to his suspension by Hockey East and will miss both ends of this
weekend’s home-and-home with Providence.

Rosen, who moved up to the center the third line against Lowell, won 8 of 11
faceoffs, assisted on Matt Lane’s goal, and rang a bullet off the crossbar, one
of four BU shots to catch iron.

Kevin Duane’s game-winner in the Junior Bruins’ 3-2 win against
the Junior Warriors was his fifth power play goal and 7th overall in
13 games.
Looking back
David Warsofksy, who made Boston’s opening night roster,
then was sent to AHL Providence, scored the game-winner and added an assist for
the P-Bruins in a 4-1 win
against the Connecticut Whale.
Texas Stars forward Alex Chiasson is
wielding a hot stick this month with six goals in 10 games and four goals in
the past three games. In a 6-4 win
against Chicago, he scored twice on three shots.
Eric
Gryba, now in his third season with AHL Binghamton, has matched a career
high with five goals and is plus 22. He is an assistant captain for the
Senators.
