For the first time since 2014, the Terriers didn’t have a first-round pick in the NHL Entry Draft. In the most recent five drafts, BU had a total of 10 first round picks, beginning with Jack Eichel who was the second overall selection in 2015.

►On the eve of the draft, Commesso talked with the Patriot Ledger’s Mike Loftus, discussing Zoom interviews with NHL teams, and working in the summer between his U17 and U18 seasons with BU goalie coach Brian Ecklund to simplify his game and raise it to a higher level. He did so, producing a 2.05 GAA, which is second best in NTDP history.

2020-21 Season Update
WIth the Big 10's announcement of its plans for the 2020, NEHJ's Jeff Cox tweeted: "I expect Hockey East to announce its intention to begin playing a conference-only schedule starting November 20."

Looking ahead
All three 2021 recruits on the USNTDP U18s—Jeremy Wilmer, Tyler Boucher and Roman Schmidt—found the net in Team USA’s 5-0 shutout of NAHL Austin. Boucher who also had an assist, and Wilmer each recorded their third goal in as many games.
Wilmer scored the opening goal for the second time in three games, firing a backhand from in close.

In the middle period, Boucher, whose father is NBCSN hockey analyst and former NHL goalie Brian Boucher, pounced on a rebound for a power play goal.

Schmidt closed out the scoring with a third-period power-play goal when sneaked in from the point and fired a hard wrister from the right circle.

2021 recruit Quinn Hutson continued his strong offensive play in Penticton’s 3-2 shootout win against West Kelowna, as the Vee’s completed a two-game sweep of the Warriors and improved to 4-0 in the Okanagan Cup pre-season tournament. The 5-10 right wing scored his fifth goal on a late second-period power play goal, then assisted on a go-ahead goal 90 seconds later. Hutson added a shootout goal and claimed the game’s third star. With eight points (5G,3A), he co-leads the BCHL in scoring.

Foulem is forward from Dieppe, New Brunswick (the same hometown as Terrier All-American and NHL goalie Michel Larocque). She has been a longtime fan of former Terrier star and two-time Olympic gold medal winner Marie-Phillip Poulin.
