Warriors' OT win ties series

Joe Cucci's overtime goal gave Merrimack a 3-2 win, evening its best-of-three series with the Terriers at one apiece and forcing a third game tonight at Agganis Arena. The win was Merrimack's first ever at Agganis Arena following ten losses.

Kieran Millan, with 32 saves, kept the Terriers in the game, but the overall effort paled in comparison with BU's win on Friday night. Terrier goals came from Eric Gryba in the first period and Wade Megan in the third to knot the game a 2-2.

Said BU coach Jack Parker: "“There was no zip to our game. Pucks weren’t getting to the net and you can’t get rebounds if you’re not shooting the puck. " Merrimack outshot BU by a 35-26 margin.

Freshman defenseman Max Nicastro was injured during the second period, suffering a deep cut to his forearm that required 26 stitches. He won't play tonight, but is expected to return next week, if the Terriers advance to the conference semifinals.
