#10/#11 Terriers face their first elimination game of the season taking on #7 St. Cloud State in the NCAA Northeast Regional semifinal in Albany. The contest begins at 1 p.m. and airs on ESPNews and on TSN.ca and TSN app.
BU is making its fifth NCAA appearance in the past six tournaments. In 2017 and 2018 BU reached won its regional semifinals—beating North Dakota in 2017 and Cornell in 2018—but lost in the final both years.

The Terriers and Huskies have met only once before—also in Albany—in the opening round of the 2000 national tournament. BU came away with a 5-3 win, led by a pair of Jack Baker goals, three points from Captain Carl Corazzini and 23 saves by Rick DiPietro. BU lost the regional final in 4 overtimes to St. Lawrence.
The Huskies (17-10-0) lost to North Dakota in the NCHC Championship game, yielding four third-period goals, after finishing second in the NCHC conference race. Their offence is led by freshman forward Veeti Miettnen with 23 points and three 20-point scorers: forwards Zach Okabe and Jami Krannila and defenseman Nick Perbix. Senior Easton Brodzinski is the top goal-scorer with 11. Senior netminder David Hrenak, the starter in all but four SCSU games, brings a 2.60 GAA and a .902 save percentage.
The Terriers (10-4-1) are appearing in the NCAA tournament for the 37th time, one fewer than all-time leaders Minnesota and Michigan. BU is making its fifth NCAA appearance in the past six tournaments. Hobey Baker Finalist and Hockey East All-Star David Farrance and Jay O’Brien pace the BU attack with 16 points apiece. Hockey East All-Rookie team member Luke Tuch has 10 points, Captain Logan Cockerill has nine. Robert Mastrosimone, Alex Vlasic, Domenick Fensore and Max Kaufman each have eight. Freshman goalie Drew Commesso, also All-Rookie, has a 2.68 GAA and a .924 save percentage.

2021 recruit Brian Carrabes scored his 16th goal and assisted on the game-winner in Sioux City’s 3-2 win against Sioux Falls.
2021 recruit Quinn Hutson scored a pair of goals (his 11th & 12th) and added an assist, but Muskegon’s rally fell short as the Lumberjacks dropped a 6-5 decision to Youngstown.
2021 recruit Braden Doyle scored his fifth goal--unassisted on a power play--in Dubuque's 10-2 win against the NTDP U17s.

Jake Oettinger stopped 22 of 25 shots to help Dallas snap Tampa Bay’s 12-game winning streak with a 4-3 win. He gained his fifth win and has a 2.28 GAA.
