►Boston Hockey Blog previews Saturday’s season opener at Bentley with highlights from Thursday’s team practice as well as Coach Pandolfo’s first media call of the year. What will he expect from his squad Saturday?
“I just think getting to our game right away. Just playing fast, playing with good structure. We’ve worked on all areas of our game, so you want to see our guys execute in-game. I’m sure, beginning of the season, we’re going to make some mistakes and you got to learn from those, but the biggest thing for us is playing with pace and getting to our game.”
“We’ve been chomping at the bit. We’ve been going at it for five weeks now, we’re ready for the first game,” graduate defenseman and assistant captain Cade Webber said.

“I do think [Celebrini’s] competitiveness is off the charts,” he said. “Very impressed with as gifted as he is offensively, how hard he works away from the puck...it's been great to have him on our roster."

Puck Preps reported on several 2006-born skaters “whose stock has risen early this season.” One of them is 2024 recruit Kamil Bednarik, LW/C for the NTDP U18s who has a 2-3-5 line in six games this season. Their report, in part:
Arguably the unsung hero of the USNTDP, Kamil Bednarik has really impressed early on. The list of strengths is expansive while the list of weaknesses is nearly non-existent. Kamil has one of the most impressive motors of this age group, putting maximum effort into every play and finding a great second-effort on the ones that don’t work out well. It fuels his great forechecking ability, a strength that is further complemented by his quick decision making when passing the puck. His anticipation for play keeps Bednarik close to the puck at all times, eagerly waiting for the right time to jump in and make an impact, regardless of what team has possession.
Bednarik, along with fellow recruits Cole Eiserman and Cole Hutson, will skate at Agganis Arena on October 14 when the NTDP U18s face the Terriers in an exhibition game.
