It's a quick turnaround for the Terriers who will seek to awaken their offense and return to the winning side of the ledger as they take on Harvard at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. ET for the contest that will air on NESN. A live stream for those outside of New England is on ESPN+.
In its split of the weekend series with UMass, BU found the opponent's net just once. The series marked the debut of newly-arrived center Tynan Lawrence. Some highlights of his first two games.

Created a few chances, disrupted opponents and forced a few turnovers. Smart player, so he should adjust quickly to better competition.#2026NHLDraft pic.twitter.com/qLIbLjAtoK
In case you missed it, defkit's Terrier Takeaway from Saturday's loss was late addition to yesterday's post. You can find it here.
BU has won eight of the past 11 meetings (8-2-1) with Harvard, most recently in last season's Beanpot opener, a 7-1 Terrier win.
The Crimson, currently 7-6-1, have lost their last three starts to the top ECAC teams, Quinnipiac (9-1), Princeton (3-2), and this past weekend Dartmouth (5-4). Harvard had a four-game win streak in November that included a North Country sweep of Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
Sophomore Mick Thompson is Harvard's top scorer with 17 points (5G,12A), while seniors Phil Tresca and Casey Servo are the leading goal-scorers with seven each. Senior Ryan Healey and sophomore Lucas St. Louis anchor the defense along with senior Mason Langenbrunner.
Sophomore netminder Ben Charette has start all 14 games. He has a 3.24 GAA and an .894 save percentage.
Matt Gilroy, captain of BU's 2009 national champions and Hobey Baker Award winner that season, is in his second season as an assistant to longtime Harvard Head Coach Ted Donato. Donato became the all-time winningest coach in Harvard history with 325 wins on Dec. 6 with a 7-3 defeat of Brown.

Last week, Malhotra spoke with the NHL.Com First Shift crew about his development and what he learned from his father, 16-year NHLer Manny Malhotra. Caleb also is the nephew of two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash.
2026 recruit Egor Shilov was named the QMJHL’s Prospect of the Week for the first week of 2026. He scored a goal in each of the five games he played while assisting on three more. Currently he has 51 points (21G,30A) in 38 games, second in rookie scoring just one point behind the leader.
Looking back
Jack Eichel scored a pair of goals--his 15th and 16th--in a 7-2 Vegas win over the Sharks that saw Macklin Celebrini's 13-game point streak halted. The former BU All-American has 48 points in 37 games. Eichel and NY Rangers President Chris Drury are the only Terriers to win both the Hobey Baker Award and the Stanley Cup.

Our friend BU Hockey Stats reports that "Drew Commesso is just the 3rd Terrier goalie to record an NHL shutout (Rick DiPietro and Jake Oettinger) and the fastest to do so, in just his 3rd start.
Commesso, who had been an emergency call-up when both Blackhawks goalies were ill, was returned to AHL Rockford Sunday.
