Sophomore center Sacha Boisvert has received a two-game supplemental suspension for his fight with Connor Eddy of Lowell in Friday night's overtime loss to the River Hawks. Both players received game disqualification penalties, which kept them out of Saturday's Terrier win.
Boisvert, who missed four games earlier this season due to injuries, is BU's third leading scorer with 14 points in 16 games. He'll miss this weekend's home-and-home series against Providence and will be eligible to return for the Jan. 30 game against BC.

This is the second consecutive season in which BU and Lowell have split a home-and-home with each game won by the visiting team. The Terriers will head to the Mill City again to close out the regular season against the River Hawks on March 7.

Jack Harvey's shorthanded goal was BU's seventh of the season. That matches last season's total and is the most for the Terriers since 2018-19.
With eight goals, Harvey is tied with Cole Hutson and Cole Eiserman for the team lead. Half of Hutson's goals have been game-winners, including Saturday's tally with two seconds left in the middle period.
● BU Hockey Stats Weekend Recap & Advanced Analytics

Looking ahead
Before 2026 recruit Haoxi Wang becomes a Terrier, he’ll be an IceDog for the rest of the OHL season. The San Jose Sharks' second round pick in 2025 was traded on January 8 from last-place Oshawa to playoff contender Niagara, who was seeking to bolster its defense corps.
The 6’5” defenseman had a 2-11-13 scoring line in 28 games for the Generals. In four starts for Niagara, he has a goal and three assists. Wang assisted on a pair of goals—including the over-time game-winner— in Sunday’s 4-3 win over second-place Brantford.
In his first game with the Ice Dogs, Wang scored his third goal and assisted on the game-winner in a 4-2 victory over Sudbury, earning the game’s third star.

“Frolov has been nothing but great for us, but obviously, we have to give up a good player to get a really good player, and adding Wang to our blue line with Chromiak gives us a real good push moving forward for the playoffs,” said Niagara IceDogs General Manager Frank Evola.
2026 recruit Egor Shilov had primary assists on both Victoriaville goals but the Tigers were edged, 3-2, by Drummondville. With 56 points (21G,35A), Shilov, who was ranked #17 among North American skaters by Central Scouting for the 2026 NHL draft, leads all QMJHL rookies in scoring.
Looking back
Alex Vlasic assisted on both Blackhawk goals in a 2-0 win against Winnipeg.
Drew Commesso stopped 26 shots in Rockford's 6-5 overtime win against Chicago.
Women's Team
Terriers take on Harvard in the 47th Dunkin' Donuts Women's Beanpot championship game. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with live stream provided by ESPN+ and TSN+.
BU is seeking its third Beanpot title and its first since 2019. They earned a berth in the title game by upsetting Northeastern, 2-1 in overtime, last week.
The teams met on January 3 in the championship game of the Friendship Series in Belfast with BU winning, 2-1, on Neely Nicholson's third period goal.
Terriers had their four-game winning streak snapped on Saturday in a 4-2 loss to Holy Cross. After defeating BC, 2-1, in the other Beanpot opener, Harvard dropped a pair of games, losing to Princeton, 3-1, and to Quinnipiac, 4-1.
Senior Sydney Healey leads BU with 11 goals and 19 points, supported by classmates Clara Yuhn with 13 points, Riley Walsh 11 and Lilli and Luisa Welcke, each with nine.
The stage is set! Harvard will take on Boston University in the Dunkin' Women's Beanpot Championship tomorrow. 🙌
