With five regular-season games left on the schedule, the Terriers will be seeking to 1) reignite the struggling offense and power play and 2) improve their position in the Hockey East race.
Commenting on the short turnaround following Monday's Beanpot loss, Coach Jay Pandolfo said:
"It was a very tough loss. I know our guys took it very hard. We have to move forward. You can't just sit here and dwell on it. The vibe has been pretty good. We had a really good practice yesterday (Wednesday). Our guys are excited to get going again."
Pandolfo indicated that there will be all new forward line combinations for Friday's games.
Following a five-game winning streak in late November and December that included a win against Dartmouth and a sweep of Maine, the Wildcats are 1-7-1 in their last nine games. Last week they lost to Providence, 6-1. The previous weekend, UNH lost and tied with Merrimack.
Senior Morgan Winters is the Wildcats' top points scorer (19) and goal scorer (9). Junior Nick Ring has 12 points (6G,12A) and senior face off whiz Cy LeClerc has 11 (4G,7A). Junior Brendan Fitzgerald leads a young defense corps that features two sophomores and three freshmen.
Senior goalie Kyle Chauvette brings a 2.68 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 24 starts.

Winter Olympics
Day 2 of Men's Hockey proved to be BU-tiful for both Team USA and Team. In Canada's 5-0 shutout of Czechia, Macklin Celebrini scored the first--and ultimately winning--goal on a deft redirection.
