Terriers hit the ice; 100th season logo unveiled UPDATED

Practice for the 100th season of Terrier hockey began on Wednesday with a 30-man roster, led by captain Logan Cockerill. BU will play an exhibition game on Saturday, Oct. 2, against Holy Cross at Walter Brown Arena and then open the regular season at UConn on Oct. 8, followed by the home opener against the Huskies at Agganis the next evening.

One month ahead of the regular-season opener, BU has revealed logo for the 100th season of Terrier hockey. The design features the iconic arched “Boston,” which has appeared on the front of Terriers' uniforms since the 1950s, along with five paw prints representing BU’s five national championships.

While a full schedule of events to commemorate the 100th season will be announced in October, BU also launched a new video featuring images of early Terrier squads followed by video clips from NCAA titles won in 1971, 1972, 1978, 1995 and 2009.
