►Following his second two-goal effort of the year, Cole Eiserman now leads all NCAA rookies with nine goals and is fifth in goal-scoring in Division 1. He’s tied for second in goals in Hockey East and is tied with Shane Lachance for eighth in scoring among conference skaters.

●The Hockey News Islanders Prospect Cole Eiserman Continues Scoring Brigade For Boston University; Coach Pandolfo Shares Thoughts

"He's been really good for us. Clearly, he has a gift to score goals, and he loves scoring goals. I think what we've been impressed with as a staff is how hard he competes on every shift. He's really hard on the puck. He's good on the forecheck. I've been really impressed with him, and he really cares, like he really cares. He takes it to heart when we don't do well as a team. He puts a lot of responsibility on his own shoulders, probably too much at some points. But he's been excellent. He's been better than I think we even thought. I just think his overall competitiveness has been really good."

► The Terriers have won five straight games over Merrimack dating back to the 2023 Hockey East title game, a 3-2 BU overtime win.

►During warm-ups, Matt Copponi visited with Merrimack staff members. Two hours later, he  put the game out of reach for the Warriors with a pair of third-period tallies.

Asked about BU’s continuing Friday night struggles, Copponi told the media post-game: “I just think we’re not ready for puck drop. I think it just comes from within the locker room.”

Looking ahead
