Evan Rodrigues’ goal late in the third period—his second of the game—broke
a 2-2 tie, gave BU the NCAA Northeast Regional title with a 3-2 win against
Minnesota Duluth. The win punched the Terriers’ ticket to the Frozen Four in
Boston. With BU on a power play, Rodrigues
toe-dragged around defender in the right circle and beat UMD goaltender Kasimir
Kaskisuo glove side, assisted by Matt Grzelcyk and Danny O’Regan. Matt Lane had
the other BU goal. Matt O’Connor stopped 27 shots.

2009: #1 seed BU sprinted to a 6-0
lead in the first period and a half and never looked back, defeating Ohio
State, 8-3,
in the NCAA regional semifinal in Manchester, N.H. Jason Lawrence and
Zach Cohen each scored twice and co-captain Matt Gilroy assisted on four goals.
Chris Higgins, Nick Bonino, Brandon Yip and Corey Trivino also scored for the
Terriers, who earned a spot in the regional final against New Hampshire.

1996: BU’s attempt to
repeat as National Champions ends with a 4-0 loss to eventual champion Michigan
in the NCAA semifinal in Cincinnati.
1991: Behind a five-goal
first period outburst, BU thumped Clarkson, 7-3, in the NCAA semifinal in St.
Paul. Sophomore Tony Amonte led the way with a hat trick, while Dave Tomlinson,
Shawn McEachern, Peter McCann and Doug Friedman also found the net. Scott
Cashman had 18 saves as the Terriers earned a spot in the national title game
for the first time since 1978.
The Anaheim Ducks
have agreed to terms with 2019 9th overall pick Trevor Zegras on a
three-year entry-level contract, per @icemancometh.
The 19-year old signs a deal that carries a $925,000 annual cap hit

Freshman Trevor Zegras has signed a three-year entry level contract with the Anaheim Ducks. Zegras was third in scoring for BU this season with 36 points in 33 points. He was named to Hockey East's All-Rookie team. Zegras is the third Terrier to sign a pro contract this Spring, following Patrick Harper and Patrick Curry.
