BU’s quarterfinal Hockey East playoff best-of-three
series at UMass Lowell, which begins on Friday, will be played without general
public spectators in order to reduce risk of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Only
credentialed institutional personnel, student-athlete family members,
credentialed media crews and official team party members will be allowed to
attend games.
The same restrictions will apply to the UMass-Northeastern
and BC-Providence quarter-finals series. At this time, there is no attendance restriction
for the UConn-Maine series in Orono.

East Quarterfinals preview
Looking back
Former BU All-American and NHL defenseman
Freddy Meyer has been named head coach at The Rivers School. He succeeds
another Terrier All-American and NHLer, Shawn McEachern, who was recently named
head coach of the full season 16U team of the new Boston Imperials Hockey
Academy at Matignon. Meyer played 281
NHL games, primarily with the Flyers and Islanders, before going into coaching, most recently with the EHL East Coast
Wizards.
● NeutralZone.net report
Evan Rodrigues scored his sixth goal
in Pittsburgh’s 5-2
win against the Devils. It was his first tally since being traded to the
Pens from Buffalo.
Matt Grzelcyk scored his fourth goal
in the Bruins’ 2-0
win against Philadelphia.
Three goals & four points in his last four
games. That's a tidy little start to March for Chiasson. #LetsGoOilers
