Looking
ahead
2021
recruit Quinn Hutson scored a pair of goals in the North Jersey Avalanche’s 7-0 win
against the Mercer Chiefs in the AYHL U18 championship game. A right-shot
forward, Hutson was the Avs’ top scorer in AYHL games with 51 points (31G, 20A)
in 23 games.
2022 (or 2023)
recruit Doug Grimes’s assist in Dexter’s 5-2 win against Hotchkiss gave the
future Terrier 49 points (23G, 26A). That total is more than triple his total from his previous
season. The Dexter junior
forward
is in his draft year and is attracting interest from NHL scouts.
Looking
back
Alex Chiasson’s ninth goal—a power play
tally in overtime—gave Edmonton a 2-1 win against Dallas. Jake Oettinger was recalled from the AHL Texas Stars to Dallas and backed up Anton Khudobin. Oettinger, who leads AHL rookie goalies in shutouts with three, was returned to the Texas Stars after the game.
