Jay Pandolfo Media Call

In his weekly call, the Terrier head coach revealed that freshman Conrad Fondrk won't be available for the weekend games, but hopefully will be good to go against Colgate next weekend. The Islanders' second-round draft pick this past June suffered a season-ending lower-body injury with the NTDP U18s last Spring. He did play in the scrimmage with a non-contact jersey, then practiced without it this week.

Junior goalie Max Lacroix will be in net for Sunday's exhibition game against RPI. Lacroix participated this summer in the development camp of the Colorado Avalanche, the team his father, Eric Lacroix, played for, and his grandfather, Pierre Lacroix led as team president. Max described the experience on YouTube.

Pandolfo said that adding Ryder Ritchie to an already-strong recruit class "is huge," noting he's a year older than a typical freshman and that he has a confidence about him. "He's going to be a really good player for us this year."

Asked about Cole Eiserman, he pointed out that the sophomore wing has really worked in the off-season on nutrition and "has transformed his body. He's a little lighter than last year so is a bit quicker."

Pandolfo made it clear that he wants the team to be more disciplined and take fewer penalties emphatically stating, "We cannot lead the nation in penalties again."

Sacha Boisvert wearing a red Boston University hockey jersey with the number 9. He holds a hockey stick and stands on an ice rink. Another player in a similar red jersey is visible behind him. The text "The Daily Free Press × Bhb The Hockey Issue" and "Sacha Boisvert was always meant to be at BU. It just took an extra year." is overlaid.

The Boston Hockey Blog's Henry Dihn-Price examines Sacha Boisvert's path to becoming a Terrier, one that began with taking in gmes at Agganis while playing 14U hockey at Mount St. Charles Prep.

And once Boisvert settled on transferring, there was only one possible destination.

“I really had one school in my mind. It was coming to Boston University,” Boisvert said.
