After 10 consecutive conference games, BU hosts Atlantic
Hockey’s Sacred Heart in a 7 p.m. start that will be live-streamed on CBS
All-Access. It’s Fan Appreciation Night at Agganis Arena with prizes to be
handed out throughout the game.
This will be the second-ever meeting between the Terriers and the Pioneers. In the 2016-17 home opener, BU won 7-0. While at Yale, Sam Tucker faced Sacred Heart once and stopped 18 of 19 shots in a 2-1 win.
Sacred Heart brings a 7-6-1 record and is coming off a split of a weekend series with Holy Cross. Its balanced offense has four 14-point scorers. Senior forwards Jason Cotton and Austin McIlmurray each have nine goals. McIlmurray’s seven power-play goals are second in the nation behind David Farrance’s eight. Senior Mike Lee and Braeden Tuck each have 13 assists. Sophomore goalie Josh Benson has a 2.63 GAA and a .906 save percentage.

Women's Team
Terriers completed a two-game sweep of Vermont with a 5-1
win Sunday at Gutterson Field House. Junior Jesse Compher led the way with two goals
and an assist as BU won its third straight game.
Vermont took a 1-0 lead just six seconds into the contest. That tally was matched late in the opening period by Julia Nearis with some slick moves to set up a wrister that beat UVM’s goalie.
BU scored three times in the second period on a pair of power-play scores by Abby Cook and Compher and by Kristina Schuler’s seventh goal. Compher’s second power-play goal early in the third period produced the 5-1 final score. Corinne Schroeder stopped 21 shots en route to her seventh win and reduced her GAA to 1.55.
