Terriers begin a home-and-home series with #11 Providence
on First Responders Night at Agganis Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. for
the contest that will be live-streamed on CBS All-Access.
The 4-3-1 Friars, who are coming off a tie with Colgate and a one-goal loss to BC, are led by the top two scorers in Division 1: sophomores Jack Dugan (18 points) and Tyce Thompson (14).
The game will likely feature a pair of goalies were Ivy League rivals a year ago, but now are graduate transfers in Hockey East. BU’s Sam Tucker, formerly with Yale, has a 2.42 GAA and a.901 save percentage, while ex-Harvard netminder Michael Lackey, now at PC, brings a 1.96 GAA and a .936 save percentage.
Seniors Patrick Curry and Patrick Harper are BU’s point
leaders with nine apiece. Curry is the top goal scorer with seven. Harper
missed last weeks’ series at Maine with a lower-body injury. David Farrance (photo) has
eight points and Matt Quercia has seven.
