Linkorama


Sophomore Matt Quercia, who had four points in the weekend series against Maine, was named to Hockey East’s Weekly Top Performers list. Quercia, who began the season with a two-goal effort against Union, scored the extra-attacker goal that tied Saturday’s game and set up a Trevor Zegras goal earlier in the contest. 

Looking ahead 

2021 recruit Tyler Boucher (#55) scored a goal (video) and added an assist in the NTDP U17s’ 10-1 win again the Czech Republic at the World U17 Challenge. Jeremy Wilmer had a pair of helpers for Team USA.  In a 5-4 overtime loss to Canada Black, Wilmer and defenseman Roman Schmidt each assisted on a goal for Team USA.

2021 recruit Artem Shlaine was named to the all-star teamof the Midwest Elite League’s International Invitational Tournament this past weekend. A native of Moscow transplanted to Florida, the 6’1” left-shot center scored five points in the tournament and has 27 points in 16 games for Shattuck St. Mary’s Prep.

2022 recruit Devin Kaplan assisted on three goals in the North Jersey Avalanche 16Us' 6-3 win against Team Maryland. He has a 2-11-13 line in 4 AYHL games.

Looking back 
Rangers Coach David Quinn was riding a three-game streak of wins against teams with Terriers he’d coached—Buffalo (Jack Eichel), Tampa Bay (Kevin Shattenkirk), Nashville (Nick Bonino, Dante Fabbro), but it ended when Brady Tkachuk scored a goal and an assist in a 6-2 Senators win against New York.

Nick Bonino’s eighth goal—and fifth in the past four games—began a five-goal second period for Nashville in the Predators’ 6-1 win against Detroit. Now in his third season at Nashville, Bonino had 17 goals last season.

Joel Farabee buried his own rebound for his second goal (video) in  the Flyers’ 4-1 win against Carolina. He earned the game’s second star.

Clayton Keller scored his second goal giving Arizona an early lead but the Coyotes lost to Calgary in overtime, 4-3.
