Terriers begin another two-games series with a conference
opponent tonight, hosting #5 UMass at Agganis Arena with puck drop set for 7:30
p.m.
The 6-2-0 Minutemen, who swept two games against BU last series, are led by junior forward Mitchell Chaffee with 12 points, freshman defenseman Zac Jones with nine and junior forward John Leonard with eight. Both Chaffee and Leonard have seven goals. Junior Matt Murray and sophomore Filip Lindberg have split the goaltending. Each has a 3-1 record. Murray’s GAA is 1.51.
Following a six point (5G,1A) effort in the Providence series, junior David Farrance leads the Terriers in scoring with 14 points, followed by senior Patrick Harper with 13 and freshman Trevor Zegras with 12.Farrance leads all Division I players in power-play goals with six and ranks ranks first in the nation among defensemen in the nation in both points (14) and goals (8). Zegras also had six points (2G,4A) last weekend, earning conference Rookie of the Week honors.
As for the Terriers who have been out with injuries, Boston Hockey Blog was told by Coach Albie O'Connell yesterday that there was some guys back in uniform today, but their status remains "at the mercy of what (trainer) Larry (Venis) tells us."

#11 Terriers defeated Yale, 3-1, on Wednesday evening at Walter Brown Arena in a non-conference game. Kristina Schuler and Nara Elia each scored a goal and added an assist, with Elias’s third-period tally as the game-winner. Jess Compher, last season’s leading scorer, returned to the line-up for the first time this year and provided an insurance goal in the final minute. Sophomore Kate Stuart turned aside 30 Eli shots to earn he second win. The win marked BU’s eighth consecutive game allowing two goals or less

BU is back on the WBA ice tonight to begin a home-and-home with #6 Boston College. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. The BU offense is headed by Sammy Davis with 12 points, Elia with 10 and freshman Julia Nearis, who earned conference Rookie of the Week honors last week, with six goals. Corinne Schroeder has a 1.37 GAA in eight starts and was named Hockey East Goaltender of the Month for October.
The Eagles are led by freshman forward Hannah Bilka with 10 goals and 18 points and goalie Maddy McArthur who has a 1.87 GAA in nine starts.
