Terriers sweep Hockey East Rookie of the Week awards


Freshman Trevor Zegras earned Hockey East’s Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week honors after produce a goal and two assists in each of the Terriers’ games with Providence this past weekend. Junior defenseman David Farrance, with five goals—four on power plays—and an assist in the home-and-home series was named to the weekly Top Performers list. Zegras joins Robert Mastrosimone as Rookie of the Week winners this season.

Looking ahead 
2020 recruit Drew Commesso stopped 29 of 30 shots to lead Team USA past Sweden, 3-1, and to the Five Nations tournament championship in Sundsvall, Sweden. The 6’2” netminder from Norwell, Mass., was in net for three of the four Team USA wins, producing a 0.97 GAA and a .956 save percentage, while turning aside 66 of 69 shots. Dylan Peterson assisted on first US goal and finished the tournament with three points.

Looking back

In his return to Boston, Joel Farabee scored the shootout game-winner in the Flyers’ 3-2 win against the Bruins and earned the game’s first star honors. Charlie Coyle and Matt Grzelcyk each had an assist for the Bruins. NHL.com recap and video highlights

Women’s Team  



Junior goalie Corinne Schroeder, who stopped 26 of 27 shots in the win against Providence was named to the Weekly Top Performers List.

The 6-3-1 Terriers are ranked #10 in the USA Hockey/USA Today poll and #11 in the USCHO Weekly poll.

Junior Jesse Compher, BU’s leading scoring a year ago withX points, made her season debut in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Providence. She had missed nine games due to a lower-body injury.
