Following their split with UConn, Terriers, who began the season at #10 in both polls fell to #12 in the USCHO Weekly Poll and to #15 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll.

Looking back

As the NHL season begins, there are 15 Terriers on 11 rosters. A 16th will be added soon as Kieffer Bellows has signed a contract with the Islanders. Alex Chiasson, who was in Vancouver training camp on a PTO and has been signed to a $750,000 one-year contract for his 11th pro season. Brady Tkachuk, has not yet signed a new contract with Ottawa and is not included among official signees.

In addition, Mike Sullivan and John Hynes return as head coaches of Pittsburgh and Nashville respectively. The Penguins’ Evan Rodrigues is the first Terrier on the score sheet this season. He connected for an empty-net goal in a 6-2 win against Tampa Bay.

Women’s Team

Freshman Christina Vote earned Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week honors after scoring a pair of goals. Her first collegiate tally proved to be the game-winner in BU’s upset of #2 Northeastern. Courtney Correia, Julia Shaunessy and Kate Stuart were named to the Top Performers list.
