Freshman blueliner Ty Gallagher has been named Hockey East Rookie of the Week after his three-assist performance in BU's 8-6 win against Merrimack. He the second Terrier defenseman recognized this season as Domenick Fensore was named Defender of the Week on Oct. 18.
A seventh-round pick by the Bruins in this past summer's NHL Entry Draft, Gallagher sent fellow freshman Brian Carrabes away for what proved to be the game-winner and finished the weekend plus-four with two blocked shots. The Clarkson, Mich., native spent the past two seasons with the USNTDP and set a program career goal-scoring record with 25.
Sophomore Dylan Peterson, whose hat trick in Saturday's win included an unassisted short-handed tally, was named to Hockey East's weekly top performers list.

After a third straight weekend splitting weekend series, BU fell from #16 to #19 in the USCHO Weekly Poll. No longer ranked in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, BU received three votes.

Jake Oettinger stopped 36 of 38 shots--including three by Cam Crotty-- in the Texas Stars' 6-2 win against Tucson. Four games into the AHL season, Oettinger has a 1.79 GAA and a .949 save percentage.
Women's Team
Junior defenseman Nadia Mattivi was recognized as Hockey East Defender of the Week. The junior from Trento, Italy, assisted on Saturday's game-winning shorthanded goal against Union and blocked four shots. If Italy qualifies for the 2022 Winter Olympics, Mattivi will represent her country.
